Learning to Listen

“Father cannot speak properly. When I was small, I couldn’t understand what he was trying to say and I felt bad. I wished he could speak like other fathers. I would go close to him and try really hard to listen to what he was saying. Many a times I could not understand but slowly over time I have grown to understand what he is trying to say. So every time, someone comes home I help him get across what he trying to say. And I don’t feel bad anymore.” (Sahadev Thapa, Shyamsadhu, Sindhupalchok)
