"Everyone knows me around here. And I am not showing off. You can ask by my name and you will find out. Ask for 'Gamsi of Laprak' and they will know. I have walked around these hills forever. I am also a folk singer. I go to villages in wedding and ceremonies and sing songs, sometimes for days. Once a swiss man came and I took him to fetch herbs up in the plain lands in high altitude. Before he left he gave me way more than the daily wage we had agreed upon. And he said, 'Gamsi, you are a good man. I like you'. I am not showing off. You can ask around. Everyone knows Gamsi around these hills." (Maan Bahadur 'Gamsi' Gurung, Laprak)
