"All my family died to a disease. I do not know what happened. It could be measles. In a duration of 5 days I lost my 6 sons, my wife and my mother. I was left with only one daughter. I would cry all night and day and ask the Gods why they chose me for this fate. I had lost the desire to live. I would drink excessively to forget about my sorrow. Many years passed away in grief. I lost interest in everything in life. But one day, I had a dream. The gods finally appeared and told me to start a new life as a Lama, a healer. From the next morning, I started to go around the village and find people who were sick and who endured great sufferings. I talked to them, prayed with them an chanted with them. I saw them get well and with them I felt better. I believed the Gods. And I got married again. I have a son and one more daughter. I am happy now, although there are many times in a day I think of the people I have lost. I saw many things in life. But I am not afraid anymore. I am afraid of nothing."
