"Every house can produce a ton of pumpkin during a season, but there is no place for us to sell. The roads won't come here and the pumpkins just rot. I don't see any point farming anymore. Too much labor and no return, no support. And I can't sit home all day with no work. The kids are growing up and I don't want them to go to Malaysia and suffer like me when they grow up. And the only way I can send them to school is go earn money in some other country. A lot of men say how one should stay in his own country and this and that but all that 'love' for your country will vanish when you see your children go hungry." (Hom Bahadur Samare, Daugha, Gulmi)
