"I have had only a few possessions in my life. My father's sewing machine, threads and needles. I also carry a mat to sit on and some tobacco in my pocket. I do not enter the homes of people in the villages. I just sit outside while they bring me their clothes to mend. Some give me tea and some a little alcohol. I have survived the same way father did. I know he spoke only when he needed to. Never hurt anyone and never questioned injustice. I do not know if I am happy or sad. I just am, just like my possessions. My sewing machine and some threads and needles."
