"For the last 16 years I have been teaching in a secondary school here. There are many Dalit villages around here but not a single student from the community has attended secondary school. I visited these villages and some parents agreed to send their kids to school, but nothing is consistent. Recently, we have started offering them tiffin as an incentive, and they have started pouring in. One even said, "Mother told me not to go but I really like the corn and beaten rice, so I came." (Ram Hari Pandey, Rimuwa, Gulmi)
