"When I was small I used to watch the airplane fly in with foreigners from behind the mountains. We would be told that the foreigners came to climb Mt. Everest. Many of the men from the villagers would carry their heavy bags and walk away with them. They would return after several days and I would hear them talk about their advetures and the experience of climbing Mt. Everest. Then the foreigners would fly away in that airplane and dissapear behind the mointains, leaving me wondering what lay behind those godly peaks. It was during one of those time I had told my self, "Someday I will also climb Mt. Everest". I would even tell my friends, "When I climb Mt. Everest and become famous, you can still be my friends." And the little kids we were, we would laugh with joy." (1/2) (Pasang Lhamu Sherpa, Lukla)
