"I was never a weak person. My parents were poor so when they grew old, all her sons left to make their own lives. But I could not leave my parents on their own. I could not see them suffer in their old age. I decided I will devote my life taking care of them. That also became the only reason I didn't marry. I was never a weak person. When father passed away 7 years ago, it was just us, I and mother. I took care of her. But she left me alone, this very day, last year to the earthquake. I remember she told me once, 'Chori, because of me you are still single and when I am no more it will be difficult for you to live in this society.' And I remember telling her, 'Ama, you don't know your daughter, I am not a weak person, and don't talk about leaving me.' But today, when I share my story with you, I feel weak.
