Today, as part of the objective to provide immediate relief to families directly affected by the earthquake, we drove out to Giakhura, Manthali 16, Ramechap, a small fishing community with 60 families and distributed sacks of food and tarps. The villagers has already gathered, and with discipline, everyone collected their sacks and left in unison. As I watched the villagers cross the suspension with ‘relief’, I couldn’t help but think that with every restraint we apply to our wants, every one just might sleep full stomach with a roof over their head.
