What do you see?

June 15, 2017

I was able to take one more picture of Pyari Ama before she headed to the fields and for the last few days, I have been looking at this picture several times in a day. I have also been reflecting quite a lot on the stories of women in rural Nepal that I have listened to. I see this picture as a representation of the strength, endurance and resilience of Nepali women. What do you see in this picture?

Ranika-Pariyaar1To sustain Stories of Nepal and to continue my journey to share stories, I have set up this donation page. I hope you will consider donating. The donations raised here will be used mostly for my travel. It will help me reach more places and share more stories of us Nepalis. Having covered over 35 districts, I have plans to cover stories from many other places and districts of Nepal, thus bringing back stories for all of us. Thank you.

Charitable donations are essential to the Hawaii Performing Arts Festival. Without generous, sustained support, the festival would be unable to help talented young artists from Hawai’i attend the festival each July in Waimea. Please help us give the gift of a musical career to a young artist. (Note: The Hawaii Performing Arts Festival is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization; donations are tax exempt.)
