The Happy Family Man

April 10, 2017

“We have been married for 9 years. We fell in love, you could say, but it was no arranged marriage. I saw her, teased her a bit and she smiled back. Then I sent messages of love and jokes to her. She must have liked my messages, she agreed to go out with me. After that we got married. I was 16 and she was 18. That is our story. Now you can take your picture. I do not know how to smile for the camera, but I am a happy family man.” (Pirthi Man Limbu & Choki Limbu with their children, Tafethok 8, Taplejung)

Ranika-Pariyaar1To sustain Stories of Nepal and to continue my journey to share stories, I have set up this donation page. I hope you will consider donating. The donations raised here will be used mostly for my travel. It will help me reach more places and share more stories of us Nepalis. Having covered over 35 districts, I have plans to cover stories from many other places and districts of Nepal, thus bringing back stories for all of us. Thank you.

Charitable donations are essential to the Hawaii Performing Arts Festival. Without generous, sustained support, the festival would be unable to help talented young artists from Hawai’i attend the festival each July in Waimea. Please help us give the gift of a musical career to a young artist. (Note: The Hawaii Performing Arts Festival is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization; donations are tax exempt.)
