“My parents were porters. They also worked for the well to do of the village. I did not see so much of school or of the world. My life is spent looking after the cattle and carrying weights. But life has taught me many things. I know my children need to see the world. So I sent them to India so that they can study. But that also means they will need money to pay for their expenses. So that is why I have only four cows now. I used to have six.” (Jyunda Sherpa, Ghunsa, Taplejung)
