Malasia Dreams

September 7, 2014

“I could not continue with school. When father became ill, mother couldn’t afford my fees. I started working around home, mostly farming. But the crops hardly support my big family. It’s just something to get by. But I’ll be leaving for Malaysia soon. And I am happy. I am looking forward to do something that pays. Finally, I have hope that I will be able to support my family financially.”

Ranika-Pariyaar1To sustain Stories of Nepal and to continue my journey to share stories, I have set up this donation page. I hope you will consider donating. The donations raised here will be used mostly for my travel. It will help me reach more places and share more stories of us Nepalis. Having covered over 35 districts, I have plans to cover stories from many other places and districts of Nepal, thus bringing back stories for all of us. Thank you.

Charitable donations are essential to the Hawaii Performing Arts Festival. Without generous, sustained support, the festival would be unable to help talented young artists from Hawai’i attend the festival each July in Waimea. Please help us give the gift of a musical career to a young artist. (Note: The Hawaii Performing Arts Festival is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization; donations are tax exempt.)
