Good Human

September 21, 2014

This was my last picture from Sindupalchowk. I spotted her standing away from the other kids. I approached her and tried making a conversation. When I asked her, “what do you want to be when you grow up?” she whispered something. It was too faint for me to hear. I asked her again but this time she kept to herself. I didn’t persist. Then, her mother came out from behind her and said “she is saying she wants to be a good human”.
– Met her in Khadichaur, Sindupalchowk

Ranika-Pariyaar1To sustain Stories of Nepal and to continue my journey to share stories, I have set up this donation page. I hope you will consider donating. The donations raised here will be used mostly for my travel. It will help me reach more places and share more stories of us Nepalis. Having covered over 35 districts, I have plans to cover stories from many other places and districts of Nepal, thus bringing back stories for all of us. Thank you.

Charitable donations are essential to the Hawaii Performing Arts Festival. Without generous, sustained support, the festival would be unable to help talented young artists from Hawai’i attend the festival each July in Waimea. Please help us give the gift of a musical career to a young artist. (Note: The Hawaii Performing Arts Festival is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization; donations are tax exempt.)
