“I try as much as I can. Haven’t even sat down to breathe. Finally, I and a few friends collected money and bought some beaten rice, chickpeas and some potatoes for them. These kids and their parents are all from the same neighborhood. Yesterday, looking at these kids and all the people who have taken refuge here, my eyes welled up. My son spotted me wiping my tears and asked me if I was crying. I just said it was an insect in my eye.”
